FAQs
✺ Gift a tattoo
If you want to gift a tattoo, fill out the Booking Form (english version here) and you will be provided with information about gift cards.
✺ Before getting tattoed
A tattoo is a superficial wound, and therefore inflammation or infection can occur. To avoid this, follow these recommendations:
✺ Talk to your doctor before getting tattooed if you have any allergies, illnesses, a weak immune system, if you are going to undergo surgery, are pregnant or lactating, or have a skin infection caused by viruses, bacteria or fungus.
✺ Tell your tattoo artist if you are a carrier of HIV or Hepatitis A, B or C.
✺Notify us before getting a tattoo on top of a scar, stretch mark, mole or burn.
Avoid the following 24h before getting a tattoo:
✺ Intense exercise.
✺ Drinking alcohol or a lot of coffee.
✺ Taking drugs with vasodilator, anticoagulants or cortisone effects and anything that may affect the healing of the tattoo.
✺ Using anaesthetics in the area to be tattooed.
Eat well that day to prepare your body for the tattoo process. You can bring foods that contain sugar to the session.
✺ Getting a tattoo in summer
Before getting a tattoo in the summer, keep the following in mind:
Pros:
You can wear clothing that allow more areas of the body to be uncovered.
In the case of tattoos on your feet you can wear lighter footwear that does not rub on the wound.
Healing is faster when the tattoo can be aired out.
If you have a second skin patch that is resistant to water, you can bathe as long as these baths are short.
Cons:
Avoid direct sun for at least two weeks. Ideally, wait 4-6 weeks until the wound is completely healed and use sun protection with at least SPF +50.
You cannot bathe in pools, lakes or the sea during the first two weeks, as they are sources of infection and can soften the wound, which doesn't allow for proper healing.
✺ Cancellations
To postpone, change or cancel your appointment, you must notify us at least ten days in advance. If you change your mind about one of the available designs, the deposit will be refunded or could be used for the reservation of another design. For commissions the deposit will not be refunded.
✺ Deposit
In order to make an appointment and reserve a design, a deposit is required. This will be discounted from the final price of the tattoo. In regards to commissions - small changes to the design are allowed. If you want to make major changes, it will be considered as a new design and you will have to pay another deposit.
✺ Touch-up
Once the tattoo has completely healed - after one or two months - you can send a picture to assess whether retouching is necessary. Keep in mind that small imperfections are normal since it is a handmade process and the skin is a living organ that has different ways of healing depending on the person.
The cost varies depending on how involved the revision process requires. In the case of tattoos on fingers, hands or ears, a second session is usually needed after the tattoo has completely healed.
